  • Micro blogging = Twitter, short updates about your life

The target audience for vlogging is young people/teenagers.
vlogging is part of Participatory culture, where the audience is the producer

Vlogging has become one of the most influential forms of media. Recent research shows 42% of internet users have watched a vlog within the last month, rising to 50%  for 16-24 year olds (Guardian 2015), clearly demonstrating an ability to reach and influence a vast range of audiences.
