I think the overall target audience for the film wonder woman is females as a whole, there whole marketing campaign is based around the strong female lead character, Wonder Woman. To the target audience, females, this may entice them as they may feel empowered by a female lead. Another potential audience is teen girls as it may be empowering to them as well as adding romance into the film to entice teen girls. Wonder Woman is also targeted at anyone who likes comics but with added romance, this means that unlike some comics it appeals to a wider audience as it still has the action but also has a love story within. In the trailers the male character is introduced hinting the romance between wonder woman and him which may draw the audience to the film.
